I painted this from a picture I took when we stopped during the Skagway train ride to the Yukon. Nothing compares to seeing the color of the lakes that have been formed from the glaciers. The turquoise sediment makes the color of the lakes breathtaking.
This painting has not been sprayed with any fixative so it will smear if you touch it directly, please use caution when you frame it. If you do spray it with a fixative it will darken the piece.
This is an original piece. This was done with the brand Pan Pastels. I love the ease of their use and the bright colors.
There is no frame included as it is unframed piece. It has been attached to a black mat. The original piece is 9x12. It has been done on an acid free art paper. No frame is included, it is only there to show what it could look like framed. The framed image may be larger than the actual picture you are purchasing.
It will be in an acid-free bag and mailed in a flat cardboard mailer.
This is an original work of art, and no two pastels will be exactly alike in this ocean series.
Since this is a one-of-a-kind painting it will not be able to be reproduced in exactly the same way, but something similar may be made by me in the future.
Some of my favorite artists are: Thomas Kinkaid, Chris Derubeis, Marko Marvrovich, Lebo and Patrick Guyton. I was fortunate to meet the last 3 of those in 2016.
Note: You are purchasing the original work of art but as the artist I still retain the copyright for future prints.
